Of course you can reduce the door to it's actual functional value of opening and closing a room, however, you would overlook the fact that the door is an integral part of the design of the whole space.

To achieve maximum insulation and sound absorption, a sheathing of HDF and multiplex stabilizers are used which provide optimum resistance against warping and extreme impact.
To prevent visible wear and tear on rabbeted edge doors, a solid wood edge surrounds three sides. On flush doors strong reinforced edge veneers are used to protect the finished surface. To create visual consistency on traditional panel doors all mullions and inserts are adjusted according to height and width requirements. Standard panel mullions and inserts are not used. Varying radii on panel frames and panel sizes are produced for each individual commission.
Jamb and Casing
Jamb and casings are constructed with stabilizing solid block board. Many appealing casing styles are available for the desired look. Optional factory assembly of jambs and casings insures clean and invisible miters especially on painted elements.
Hardware
To complete the appearance exclusive high end adjustable hinges occasionally three dimensional, dual functioning mortise lock mechanism, and reinforced strike plates; all finishes are color coordinated.
Surface Finishing
From the tradition of the furniture manufacturer high quality standards are applied to the surfaces. To achieve the final touch on top quality veneers environmentally friendly, dye free PUR-lacquers are used.
In the gamut of color DD-Paints obtain a perfect surface and above all can be re-painted.
A strong point is the ability to custom match existing furniture or floor surfaces. Through the fine-tuning of staining wood veneers or painted surfaces this can be achieved. For continuous high quality book matched veneers are provided with each commission. With the SCHLEIF lacquer finish option, the mullions, door leaf and inserts are not finished individually, they are assembled and treated with a hairline prevention sealer and then finished.
Custom Production
You sketch it - we draw it and build it. Versatile arched elements, double and sliding door systems, floor to ceiling doors with and without transoms and side lights, walk through, radius and elliptical elements and many more. All elements are produced with your input and our drawings. Extra wide casings with added profiles and plinth blocks add to the customization. Glass inserts and wood mullions are configured to your requirements.
Technique
The utmost claim of quality is achieved with flush glass mullions, especially when used with flush hung doors. A timeless, simple elegance is created when the door leaf and casing are on one level plane. Fire protection and security safe room door elements, with the appropriate door cores, can be supplied with matching door skins and profiles to coordinate with the interior doors. Double rabbeted door elements or door leafs with rabbeted edge seals bring the desired sound and climatic protection.
Mechanically driven latch bolts and roller catches, automatic flush bolts and electronic door openers are only a part of the multiplicity of technical sophistication.
